A recording of "Symphonic Selections from West Side Story by Bernstein, Carl," 1970, performed on the "Sounds of Tulsa Vol 1" album by the Tulsa Youth Symphony. The band was conducted directed by Arthur Hestwood, Robert McNally, Richard Roberts, and Jerrold Lawless.

Lawless was a long-time TJC instructor and was the founder and conductor of both TCC’s community band and symphony orchestra. Lawless began working for TJC in 1970 and was TJC's first music instructor.
